DS3 Crossback Cruise Control Fault

Post by jorequis »

Hi just found this forum,

Need some advice, I am having issues with cruise control. It stopped working without any message nor error, now it will not set, it just shows a message saying the necessary conditions are not met.
What’s do you guys think is the issue?

The car is a DS3 Crossback 130hp Diesel with lane keep technology.

I am trying to contact a workshop to have a look at it but they are all overloaded in my area.

Thanks in advance.

Re: DS3 Crossback Cruise Control Fault

There can be many reasons, but the most common reason is that there is a fault with the Engine or it's associated systems. Depending on what the fault is, the engine ECU can deactivate speed control assistance functions, like Cruise control and the speed limiter until the fault clears.

Sometimes switching off the ignition and restarting the engine clears some faults if they are temporary faults and the cruise will work again. As soon as the fault comes back, the same thing will happen again.

So you need to have a vehicle diagnostic done to find out what fault codes are showing. Then post them up here with your VIN and we may be able to help with the fault code explanation.
