Blank day for 71 reg spots? In England Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland?

So today's irrelevant spot from me, not a "71" but a newish looking car

I spotted this Isle of Man newish car , but they dont use the same system, so some deciphering is required to see what year it is.

An unintelligible numbering system like the Isle of Man's would nicely avoid the ridiculous new registration periods so a 31st of August car somehow doesnt have a perceived lower value than a 1st September car just because the former is a 21 and the latter is a 71.

The Isle of man system is sequential NMN-562-N NMN-563-N, ending YMN-999-Y. There is no way of telling the year/month of the car by any of the letters or numbers on the plate.

There is an online basic vehicle search
https://services.gov.im/vehicles-drivin ... le-search/
So that one was a 2019 Toyota Corolla

Keep the 71 reg spots rolling in. Very sparse so far. Surely every FCF member has seen at least one 71 Reg by now :-D

My spots today
MG ZS...not the EV so not entitled to the green flash and this
Hyundai Kona Hybrid, not entitled to the green flash

I spotted 4 Audi's today, but only one was fully electric (a Q series). 3 were on the M4 (westbound; two of these were on a transporter), with the last on the M40. I also spotted a Hyundai, but I am not familiar enough with the range to see what model it was.

Audi on the evidence so far dont seem to have any problem flogging their new cars :-D

I'll revive an old offer. 1000 points for the first spot and picture of a 71reg vehicle made by the UK Automotive Industry.

As highlighted many times, virtually all of the UK car industry now has controlling investors from outside the UK...yes Morgan, Lotus, Rolls Royce, Bentley etc etc included. So the 1000 points are available for any 71 reg vehicle which has been made/assembled at a UK Factory.

I think the points are safe. Best bet is probably a bus :-D

We've got the Goodwood Revival on down here at the moment. I'm far more likely to see a 1971 car going past than a 71-reg car
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

I was in Swindon a couple of hours ago, and I spotted a Renault Arkana. I think it is a dealership vehicle, as there was vehicle details on the side.
