2014 1.6 DS5 automatic gearbox fault

Hey guys we recently purchase a car about a month ago ; a 2014 1.6 DS5. It’ has been 2-3 weeks since we were able to drive the car. The car is stuck into 3rd gear and won’t shift any higher. We took it to the dealership and they were asking quite a bit of money to run diagnostics. We agreed and so far have paid over £900. They’ve replaced the brake switch but that has not fixed the problem. We are still getting the gearbox fault and engine fault repair needed.
We are desperate for solid advice, thank you for your time.

Where did you buy the car from? It if came from a dealer, then it is for them to repair (although you may have caused issues there by having it elsewhere). Is this a proper automatic, or semi automatic?
