Oh!! That tune -- Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Just noticed it went on to "Hall of the Mountain King" yes not a Wombles original composition but Edvard Grieg from Peer Gynt.
So a memorable appearance of Hall of the Mountain King and a Spitfire (Triumph) Engine, from the FCF archives
Regards NeilNewcastleFalcon wrote: 01 Jun 2019, 08:45 For entertainment purposes reminds me of the Spitfire engine strip down and rebuild video nicely put to the Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg......very appropriate punchline at the end of the 2 minutes!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I really am losing the plot!! I read that last post mentioning a Spitfire engine and then looked at the leader for the video with the cam cover and thought to myself, "That is rather small for a Merlin engine?"

The September picture on our vistaprint calendar of our Labradorus photogenicus was one taken at Low Force on the River Tees taken round about this time last year.
Regards NeilNewcastleFalcon wrote: 08 Sep 2020, 20:13 Today was one of those "great days out" days and all the charging point plans fell into place nicely...no delays and a bonus at our destination.....the charging point at Bowlees Visitor Centre in Teesdale worked fine with my BP Chargemaster Polar Plus Card, and was both vacant, and free. Gave us options for the route back instead of having to go back up to Bishop Auckland Morrisons. As it turned out we took the path of least hassle and ended up just with one more top up at Chapel House on Tyneside on the Instavolt, and back home.
LOvely little visitor centre with friendly staff and the coffee and cake were excellent, consumed outside in a little gargen with coal great and blue tits/chaffinches/ robins etc feeding at the bird feeders.
Had never been to Low Force, High Forces litle brother but very picturesque and a lovely day for it.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
While at the mancave yesterday I discovered that the mini had passed its MOT on Tuesday and is now going up for sale!!
Who would have thought that when I posted this picture in September last year:
followed by this one when we collected the mini in May this year:
that we would end up with this little beauty to put on the market?!
It's a funny old world!!
(Anyone with a purchasing interest please pm me for details!!)

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Today kicked off with an unusual sight.
Two pomegranates lying by the side of the road.
My knowledge of pomegranates does't even extend to knowing how to spell the name without looking it up, no idea which part of the world is the pomegranate capital, or indeed what you would possibly use one for. Yes you can always eat them or suck the juice and spit out the seeds and pith.
Pomegranates are never on our shopping list and I cant remember the last time I had one.
Unfortunately when I returned with my camera someone had actually reclaimed the pomegranates so bang went pomegranate day on POTD
So onto wild fruit POTD
Regards Neil

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Had a pleasant walk 'round the local nature reserve this evening. A few good spots on the way.
Nearly trod on an Adder...
One of a fair sized colony of Sundews......
A relatively new photo opportunity spot.....
An the not unpleasant photo taken from that spot

I trod on an adder once, didn't go terribly well but wasn't fatal - as far as I recall.
