Pretty much my experience of Newcastle and I used to work there , mainly Jesmond, Heaton, Byker, Gosforth but all over throughout the year.
I was dreading the trip last time - Civic Center for the consulate. Gave myself two hours and was parking in the CC car park twenty minutes after leaving home.

I did my apprenticeship in London, so it's 'eat or be eaten' and has served me well, given that half the people where I now live in the rural countryside don't know what a roundabout is yet alone a traffic light it seems...

I recall one day (many moons ago) when I had to do some work in Slough. The driving I encountered that day was so bad I was forced into four emergency stops in the space of a mile. It hasn't got any better over time; I have just got a LOT more aware of the idiots!

Today's secondary education Geography lessons!!! Two contestants, a girl in her early 20's and a chap in his late 20's, offered their answers to the following question:
The Volga, Europe's longest river, flows from Russia into which inland body of water?

Girl: "The River Nile?"

Chap: "The Red Sea?"

Give me strength!!!!!  :rofl2:

I'd like to add newspaper headlines to the room, all of them, what a load of tosh they publish now.

I look forward to such howlers now, lets hope there are a couple of examples on UC tonight! :-D

Poor Simon Jack whenever he tries to report on anything on the News in his role as Business Editor, tends to get a broadside from me before he starts referring back his pathetic performance on "celebrity" UC.

I have started a little campaign to try and annoy Microsoft as much as they annoy me. When I get a junkmail which has sexual content I report it using their report facility in Outlook. However recently my report emails are being returned by the Microsoft postmaster as undeliverable. So I am now forwarding all the "returned" emails to a Microsoft PR in the UK group in the hope that sufficient junk from me may get them to take some action to stop the original "undeliverable" emails coming to me. Any one who cares to strengthen my campaign please do, but only send on emails which have already been returned to you by Microsoft!! The address I use is:
ukprteam@microsoft.com
which I found by digging into Microsoft's corporate website!!

Entrusting someone to fit quality parts to your car, in this case a wheel bearing which was on the car for a month before failing, most of which the car was parked up and probably hasn't even covered 100 miles. To be fair the lad that did the job was great, he looked it over, agreed the bearing had failed and is changing it under warranty but with the increasing amount of problems this car has got i can well do without this. I should have started a blog on this car when i bought it, even this week the camera didn't work for a day & i discovered 2 position lamps weren't working.

HOW TO FIX CODE 10 ERROR NETWORK ADAPTER?

Room 101 entry..."Skills I don't really want to develop"

Computers have been around a bit, and they are very clever no doubt. These days the bread and butter of of our home computing is a device capable of connecting to the internet.

I do not want to know how to fix code 10 error network adapter, but at the same time I don't want to take it to a computer specialist to fix it for me, or to repeat for some other such future random error message.

So you trawl the internet. A great place for "the unsolved solution" after "try this try that try the other repeat" ad infinitum.

Luckily after a convoluted 5 or 6 point, increasingly severe recommended intervention of increasing complexity, one of the commenters came up with a "this worked for me" one liner, and hey presto! I have added how to fix code 10 network adapter to my repertoire of "skills I don't really want to develop!"

I don't even want to know what a code 10 error is, never mind deal with it.

More an uninstall of the offending article, then a shutdown and restart and magically it returned to its normal function until the next time :-D
