Upgrade the 508s pre-facelift RT6 to the facelift version...?

Hi!

I love my 508SW! It came with the RT6 satnav but... the satnav broke down no sound, no park assistance, no carkit, no display....

I've got the opportunity to get a newer version (part number 98 026 557 80 RNE unit with the 98 012 869 80 screen unit made by Continental).. Will it work in my 2011 car that came with the Magneti Marelli RT6 96 782 764 80 including the steering wheel controls, center console knobs and car integration?

I really do hope there's a way to get it working!

9801286980 is not an RT6! That's the multifunction Screen part number....

I thought I'd let you all know for future searches that it is in fact possible to upgrade from the 96 782 764 80 to the 98 026 557 80 unit. In my case I had to edit the VIN (obviously, that will be the case with any radio that you install) and the audio-config parameters from 2 (HiFiCAN) to 3 (Arkamys). I even didn't have to change the screen.

I wonder if it is possible to install the latest touchscreen version..... But I'm not spending money on that now, I really like the way this turned out; even the Bluetooth issue has been solved by placing a new 2017 unit
