Peugeot expert van wont start
Hello all, Im having difficulty with my Expert van. Its a 2015 2.0hdi 163/rhh automatic. It went from working perfectly, parked it up and now it wont start. It just cranks over and over. Hooked it up to diagbox and I get 2 re occuring fault codes. P0342 loss of camshaft whilst engine running. And p2134 tight spot switch for acc pedal, the voltage is blocked between crossed and not crossed. So far i have replaced both the cam and crank sensors and run new wires to rule out a wiring issue. I still get the camshaft code. The timing is fine and it runs on easy start. I have also replaced the bsm/fuse box. I sent the ECU away for testing and they claim that it is ok. This has really got me stumped so if I could get some advice I would be grateful! Thanks

OK on live data is diagbox showing cam/crank syncronisation? Is engine RPM reading correctly?
Have you physically checked the valve timing by pinning the flywheel & cam pulley?
Have you checked that the timing belt is tensioned correctly incase it is timing up OK but then goes out of sync under load?

Okay so I dont have cam/crank sync no. I have checked the timing with a pin in the flywheel and the cam sprocket which are perfectly aligned and correctly tensioned. However this is the mystery, engine speed remains at 0 when cranking, however when I look at the live data in the ABS unit the engine speed registers at 290ish rpm which I dont understand. Also the freeze frame data for the camshaft fault logs the engine speed(cranking speed) so its getting it from somewhere??

The ABS unit shows engine RPM ??
Im not sure what equipment you have access to but my next check here would be to scope the cam & crank sensors to actually see what they are seeing.
Another possibility is damage to the woodruff key on the cam pulley?
Have you also checked the crank sensor magnetic pickup wheel for damage or bits of metal debris/dust stuck to it?

I am using Diagbox, i have been going through each unit and checking the live data, one of the parameter in the abs section is engine speed, like the engine ecu, except the engine ecu shows 0 when cranking and the abs unit shows actual engine speed, the speedo on the dash does also, i beleive the reason for the non start is the ecu sees 0 therefore it doesnt open the injectors. The thing i dont understand is why when the sensor ouputs go directly to the ecu.

And with regards to the woodruff key, the engine will run OFF easy start which it would not if I had timing issues.
