Post by Egoda »

Hello everyone, i'm new to this, got a 2000 1.8 16V LFY Xantia non-starter, few issues looking like, trying to sort Central locking first, wondering if anyone has got a copy of the CPH (Body computer) wiring diagram could share. Many thanks.

Thanks a lot, much appreciated. I'm just wondering if any more detailed wiring / internal logic (as to input output) diagram available especially when central locking wires connected to it. trying to figure out workings of the 8 wires goes to central lock in the driver door front and how the inputs and outputs feeds into it from body computer, also deadlock wiring makes it even more complicated i guess. thanks again, any help much appreciated.

Ok, you have to remember that the circuit diagrams are different depending on the area you are interested in. The CPH is just the basic ECU (precursor to the modern BSI), so you need to be specific to the component that you want to diagnose to get the right diagram. As it's central locking - here is the relevant diagram showing the relationship of this system to the CPH:

There are no 'internal' diagrams of the CPH or oither ECUs - only the connections between them.

If you need component numbers, look them up here using the Wiki, they are split into sections in number hierarchy:

Does anyone know where the cable for the unlock command of the central lock is? I've found the lock command cable at the drivers side to the wire loom that is coming from the door... But none of the other cables is the unlock command (-) If it is beneath the glovebox, do you know color and number? Xantia mk2 1998. Thank you in advance!

Based on the diagram above, I think that the lock and unlock functions use the same pair of wires, reversing the direction of the locking motors to unlock that doors.

Yes but to do that , the cables that move the motors need a command. As far as I know , there is a command cable for lock (-) which I found, and somewhere is another command cable (again -) that is for the unlock command... The loom that comes from the drivers door has only the lock command.

It is likely that the lock/unlock command will travel along one wire, using a diode and resistance to differentiate between signals. It's likje the electronic version of Morse Code.
Has anyone seen the plot? :?
