Hi, new here. Sorry if this has already been answered, but I couldn't find anything.
I have a 2010 C3 and have recently needed to put the child locks on. They are the type switched on on the inside of the door with the key.
When I turn them on, the door can still be opened from the inside, but not the outside so it defeats the purpose!
Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas.
Thank you
Child lock problem

Re: Child lock problem
I always thought that there was a button on the drivers door panel switch for the electric windows that when pressed would isolate both the windows and the the door handles from operating from the inside.
Happy to be proved wrong but i thought by turning the plastic bit with the key meant it was the outside handles that were isolated.
I think there should be a button that is at the bottom of the drivers door switch panel that has a strange icon on it and when pressed should show up an icon on the dash.

Re: Child lock problem
There should be 2 systems - manual and electric.
The electric one is on the driver electric window control pad - and may work in conjunction of rear window opening - you'll need to try it.
Manual System in the rear doors:
With the ignition key, turn the red control one quarter of a turn:
- to the right on the left-hand rear door
- to the left on the right-hand rear door.

Re: Child lock problem
Thanks for your replies. My car manual told me it was in the doors, but it turned out to be a button under the steering wheel on the door side.
Thanks

Re: Child lock problem
Ok - so it depends which model you have - the earlier models had a separate switch on the dash. I assumed you had a different model as it was on the cusp of the changeover.
