Peugeot partner b9 wing mirror over extending?

Post by Timmo »

A hot and sunny afternoon to you all,
Wife peugeot partner has the power fold mirrors, it appears the passenger one is a little out of sync as such and over extends by about 5mm when opened meaning the mirror is at maximum inner adjustment, Is it possible to to correct? Or is it a replacement mirror job?
Many thanks in advance

There's little you can do short of checking if the mirror glass has been previously replaced and not attached back properly on all the lugs - so that it is slightly proud on one edge.

If not this, then try and manually pop a finger on the glass to see if there is any movement where you need it. Failing that, the mirror may have a worn gear cog and is slipping - but as far as I can tell there's nothing you can do with these to adjust them. You can always try manually moving the wing mirror in (simulating a knock from a vehicle) then try and fold them in and out electronically a few times to see if they will resynchronise.

Many thanks Marc, your response is very much appreciated. I had thought it might be the case, I'll keep an eye for a replacement, the glass is sitting in as I did manage to get it off and have a look in to see if was anything obvious, watching her driving she doesn't appear to use the mirrors much anyways! 🤪 🤪 🤪
