P0265 (Again)

Post by Sorcerer »

My car (C4GP 2014) just keeps giving , originally the day I bought the car it threw a P0265, but my mechanic replaced injector 3 by mistake , he's on holidays at the moment so I can't contact him but I suspect he used the injector which he had removed from cylined no 3 in cylinder no 2. The car has run for two weeks since . But yesterday evening it went into limp mode and threw an ABS error and feels like it's running on 3 cylinders . I used the diagbox and it's showing P0265 and P1434. My question really is do all injectors need replacing if one goes , as it's an indication that they are all about to fail soon. Or perhaps he damaged the injector wlie removing /replacing it .The car has just over 100k miles on the clock . I'm supposed to take the car on holiday next week and I'm not feeling confident that I'll get back home at this stage .

Update I brought the car to a local injector specialist, they replaced the faulty injector and it's working fine now . I've taken the car for a 40km drive varying the engine revs between 2-3000 rpm to tune the injector and ECU. There's a suspicion that when the previous injector was removed and swapped out, it may have been damaged in the process . I'm thinking of buying a spare injector , to take with me , just in case I'm stranded somewhere , and under pressure to purchase a new one at a rip off rate while abroad
