Hi , little help or advice needed , i owned the old er 508 and diagbox ran global test fine , ive now got the new 508 mk11 , so ive uploaded the new software 9.91 for global test only to my windows 10 as recommended, everything seems fine except when i run a global test on my car it says on all tests (no dialogue) , so my question is why , im thinking my interface maybe out of date ,as its atleast 12years , hope
Someone can advise. Thx

Re: Diagbox 9.91
Hi
I would think your interface would need to be a full chip version (Revision C), fully CAN compliant to work with later vehicles. If not, it may not be able to communicate with later ECUs on newer vehicles
No harm in taking a punt though.
Edit: In light of your other post now merged here, this is what I was referring to - it is possible your old interface is the cut down version. What version of Diagbox 7 were you running before on your old 508?

Re: Diagbox 9.91
There's no way to know without opening it up and examining the boards unfortunately. But assuming you have checked your VCI for loose pins or loose wiring you may also find you have a configuration issue with your laptop - are you running it standalone (natively) or the Virtual Machine version and have you checked to make sure the USB ports are working properly?
There is not going to be an easy answer - as there can be so many variables according to your setup, laptop, operating system, version of VCI and the type DB 9.** installation.

Re: Diagbox 9.91
Hello,
If the VCI worked with the DIAGBOX 7.57 (firmware 4.3.2), then it usually also works with the DIAGBOX 9 (firmware 4.3.7)
Ask:
Is the VIN read out automatically?
Is the VCI displayed in the device manager of the VM?
What version of the workstation was installed?
Is the ignition switched on?
The 9.68VM - lasts until 4/2020 - should run more stable - a friend and I use this version without problems - both with the original VCI and with a full-chip clone.
Greetings Wolfgang
