Hello from Spain!

Unread post by Campeador »

Hi all,

I've been a long time lurker in this forum, but finally decided to register. I'm a software engineer currently living in sunny (and hot!) southern Spain. I have two Xantia, one daily driver and the other one in process of fixing, and I'm trying to learn the ins and outs so I can make minor repairs myself.

Happy to be here! :)

Hi and welcome to the Forum. There's lots of Xantia expertise here, so you should find plenty of topics. Thanks for the Forum donation too by the way. :)

If you need any part official numbers / parts diagrams, please ask.

Cádiz, Andalusia. I see you're not that far away (at least compared to the other folks from the UK :-D), nice to see people nearby.

Well I guess you 2 will be sharing Xantia stories over a Paella and some Sangria pretty soon! :rofl2:

Welcome to the forum.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Some memorable days spent in Cadiz, Puerto de Santa Maria, and Jerez!

Xantias becoming something of a rare sight along the costas these days, let alone BX and XM.
I think many Xantia owners in southern Spain never realised the suspension needed looking after, and just continued to drive the cars after the last of the gas had disappeared from the spheres. The result was large numbers with speared bonnets, as the front struts finally gave way. A real shame, as body rust here (as you'll know) is pretty much unknown.
