Update from Ali express

Post by Nickcc102 »

Well bit upset as wasted £12 on Lexia update from Ali Express. Instead of a disc like I’d hoped for just ended up with emailed link from french supplier. Tried to download but 3/4 way through asked for more money to finish download which wasn’t happening. Previous version from 2018 bought for my 2013 308SW doesn't have my 2017 2008 on it. Does anyone know of a reliable supplier ? Lodged a complaint with Ali express but not expecting great things. Thanks

I bought this one and installed it on my 64bit Windows 10 laptop, it's the first one I've managed to get working without any hassle.

Many thanks. I take it this is a download only and not a disc ? Need to check my old laptop runs virtualisation, its running W10 with the latest updates but its about 8 years old.

Totally baffled now trying to figure out what virtualisation is, obviously old brain cells not up to modern technology 😁

Don't pay for Diagbox 7 updates they are free - anyone selling them is ripping you off, but if it is for a 2017 onwards model, then you may need a completely new version of Diagbox (V9.**), that may be sold with a lifetime licence.

The 9.** versions are either standalone licenced or VM enabled, and you can't upgrade DB V7.** with the latest version.

I suggest you have a word with our member - recommended supplier - details here:

Without getting too technical, don't bother with a VM (Virtualised) version if you do not have a 64 Bit enabled Laptop with BIOS AND processor supported virtualisation technology / options. You will need both for a VM to work.

If you don't have this, then you may need a standalone version of 9.** and this will have a lifetime licence fee - but probably won't be upgradable further. Also, be aware that in V9.** telecoding / programming is extremely limited or may not be available at all for your model as they move to internet-configured operation only. It should be fine for diagnostics and fault clearing though, as well as common operations.
Please Don't PM Me For Technical Help

Many thanks. Contacted Ali express and supplier refunded, only £12 but feel better that wasn’t conned.
