AC blowing warm air

Hi again guys,
Right I have toppedup the AC gas,everthing is working fine, Comppresor the lot bot when swithching the AC on it blows warm air.
Now I have read on a few reports on here of Faulty gate not closing under the dash, worn of inoperative motor,I used to hear a real hard Clunk,which i can asume is the gate closing..
I hope this is enough information for you clever clogs to get your teeth into,curiously the Fan seems to have mind of its own, auto seems reasonable ,but fails some times,,when it feels like it.. I am plumbing for the gate actuator,,but do not want to put words in your mouth so to speak, any idea's.
