Hi, it's me again
So, bought a used laptop that had been wiped and a new Win 7 installed, bought a Lexia 3 + software and successfully installed. Connected to car, got into the BSI ,got to manual configuration. Security code required to access, I dont have one so thats that. Went back to Diagnose just to have a look around and discovered no communication with ecu. This was the same message we got when the recovery man plugged his reader in which is why I replaced everything, so this leads me to believe there is a broken wire/contact somewhere in the loom. Also I used the auto function to obtain the VIN and it came up with the same number as on my reg document. Given that these are not the original ecu and BSI unit, where did it obtain this from?.
Anyway, i think it's time to say" Au Revoir" to this particular Citroen so if anyone is interested in a Toshiba with a newly installed lexia 3 I would willingly pass it on at cost price. 'Cos i've had enough

Re: alarm module location
There are two codes. The security code can be obtained from Citroen for a fee (and with ID and proof of ownership). This code is specific to the vehicle, and can be used to (among other things) code in new keys. There is another code (that is known), but I am not sure of it (and would not put it up in the open). You HAVE to be careful when configuring ECUs, as any mistakes could 'kill' them.

Re: alarm module location
The code on Lexia to change configuration is 03114.
If you have had a second hand BSI fitted then it must have been re configured with your original VIN. If this wasn’t changed your radio would have been beeping constantly, either that or the radio would have needed re configured to suit the ‘new’ BSI.

Re: alarm module location
Ahhh, the saga continues
Got BSI cloned, got replacement engine ecu virginised, matched using diagbox, STARTED!, wonderful. Will not rev above 3000, ecu fault code 1613 - configuration. Also says o2 heater malfunction but o2 sensor test ok. Bushwhacked again. Suggestions anyone. I am a tenacious bu**er and dont want to let it get the better of me but time is running out

Re: alarm module location
If you have replaced the engine ECU then you also need to configure that correctly - there are various parameters that need configuring to match your specific vehicle option. If we knew you ere going to do this before you actually did it, we would probably of suggested that you record all the configuration information down first from the old one (if possible). The types of info need to match what is on the vehicle, such as cooling system, Gearbox type, Injector Class, ESP, additive system etc etc.
These would normally already be configured from the factory - but replacing or having a 'virginised' unit requires more than just pairing to the BSI, so you will ned to check these options by going into the configuration menu and seeing what the settings are.
Any anomalies in the Engine ECU cab trigger a fault that may put the vehicle into backup mode and limit power.
