Hey all.
My engine, am gonna tackle the t'stat removal.
I believe its open and is why my fan never turns on. But am going to need pics of it's location on my EW10A RFJ engine.
You can say what component its next to, but then I'll need a pic of that also as reference!
The Haynes manual is no good, my engine not covered.
I have already changed the sensor, easy to reach.

Excellent.
That's my bank holiday taken care of!
I'll test it and the sensor also. Found some online guides.

Re: Thermostat. C5 Petrol. 2.0 L
Morning.
Before Monday's coolant drain, I removed the sensor for a hot water test.
Into boiling water* I read 362 ohms.
Is this too high? I know all cars will be different, but I have read that a lower 200-300 is required.
* Water bubbles around sensor as it is dunked.
Ambient temp of 15 is: 475 ohms.
