I can't remember whether I have posted this before but if I have I apologise. I just thought it was a fitting time to go with the last post. This is the aircraft which my son-in-law began working with today!!:

I've read a couple of recent articles on Volocopter they do appear to be going places, and having little trouble raising investment.
Volocopter Raises €200 Million in Series D Funding Round
New investors in Volocopter include funds managed by BlackRock, global infrastructure company Atlantia S.p.A., Avala Capital, mobility technology giant Continental AG, global technology focused investment fund Jericho Capital, global technology and business solutions provider NTT via its venture capital arm, Tokyo Century, a leading Japanese leasing company, leading family offices, and others. All existing investors, including Geely, Daimler, DB Schenker, Intel Capital, btov Partners, Team Europe, and Klocke Holding amongst others also joined the round.

Well I wasn't sure whether to put this here in the picture of the day thread, or in the 'Joke I found Funny' forum....

Firstly, I'm glad to see that Microsoft's own spam / junk filters detected their own email as crap. 10/10 for that one MS.

Yes, I can tell you what you can do to ease my mental health:

  1. Stop pushing updates with crap I don't want or need
  2. Stop trying to block us from blocking you from installing unwanted crap on our PCs.

You couldn't make this up....
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Simon posted up a video of "fails" at the "youtube notorious" Rufford Mill Ford in Nottinghamshire.

This thread here
https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... 29#p686229

Now one of the only vehicles to "beat" the ford was this little offering from Citroen, slow and steady entry and maintaining a stable bow wave. Still a few thousand quid risk that wasn't worth taking even if it was successful that time.

Just a thought that occurred to me while watching Simon's video and now I am reminded.. Has anyone ever tried reversing through a ford with engine revving well before you enter the water? It just seems to me that the exhaust should be strong enough to keep the water out of the pipe and the front grill etc will be in the vehicle wave well and thus above water rather than being soaked by the bow wave? Of course you need a good boot/tailgate seal :-D

Nice one Neil!! :rofl2: Not sure it was really necessary on that particular day but at least the wheel wakes prove you have actually done it :-D

Just need to know if it would work in a deeper ford? Anyone? .......... :-D
