Egr.

Unread post by Mick64 »

Hi, if I replace my egr with a new one does it have to be coded to the car or is it a straight replacement, 1.6 hdi berlingo. Thanks

What age? Certainly on the early 16V ones it is a direct replacement, later ones, not so sure about.

2009 b9 berlingo, I've a vague memory of reading somewhere that they need coded but I could be thinking about another type of vehicle, trying to decide wether it's worth trying to sort the original one or just replace it.

What is the problem with the EGR? You can get hold of EGR cleaners that can help.

Mick - pop your VIN up and I will see what the official stance is on replacing it.

Ok, so nothing mentioned about any coding when replacing.
