'Allo, 'Allo!

A forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rabble already onboard. Not compulsory!
Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

'Allo, 'Allo!

Post by Jean Picard »

Hello All!
I've just bought a 2005 Peugeot 206 with the famous AL4 auto box. If I ever needed the help and support of forum members I think it may be now.
The reason I bought the car is that I had a mild stroke 17 months ago and the clutch and gear change has (at my age) become quite uncomfortable. The specific reason for buying THIS particular 206 was that it has only done 22000 miles.

Going from a 1.9 TDi Skoda to a 1.4 petrol Peugeot is a bit of a change but I'm hoping to learn from fellow forum members how to get the best out of my (nearly) new 16 year-old car.

Hi Jean and :welc:

You will get all the help and advice you may need on here, they are a really great bunch. In the meantime have a look around the forum from the board index above, there is always something to amuse or entertain, especially in the Off Topic Chat Lounge so join in whatever interests you. :) :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Thank you Mick. Having been a Briskoda forum member and knowing the wide experience available on that forum I'm sure all the help I'll ever need will be here. I hope I never need it but I'm more secure in my enjoyment of my Pug for being a member.

From a fellow newbie I can vouch that this is a friendly and helpful car forum... Not at all rude and arrogant like some I have been on.

Had more help and support in last few weeks than ever from other forums. đź‘Ť

Find Citro Jim's article on AL4. I wholeheartedly agree with what he says

Ahoy-hoy! :-D Very welcome aboard, in this wonderful forum by a fellow 206er! I have the manual one with the 1.4 diesel engine, but I'm sure you'll get on beautifully with that car! It just needs to be shown some love.
Wish you lots of miles with your self-shifting companion!
