The answer on my card was Hydrolastic Fluid, and I think the hydragas technical info section on hydrolastic fluid pretty much confirms that.

It got a mention on the side notes to the Flickr picture of the Wolseley on my A to Z, although the Princess did use the hydragas development of the system.

You may have misinterpreted my motive there Neil, :?: I emailed the company to get them to correct their incorrect information on the website. I wasn't questioning your information or indeed challenging the answer on the card! Heaven forbid!! :-D

No problem Mick, I just thought I would add where I came across the question in the first place. I am still a little surprised at the make up of the stuff that they used for the hydrolastic system. I had it on my first mini replaced front to back pipes and a rear displacer unit when doing the replacement of the rear subframe as an introduction to car fixing. I cant remember the pressure it had to be "pumped up" to with the BL little machine probably 250-300psi.

Had the same with my Princess that had a tilt to one side. Didn't take long but was unimpressive after having had a GS.

I seem to remember that suspension system was known as a rather unflattering hydro******* which would be unacceptable today. I believe it was as a result of the tendency to lean over to one side. My first mini was the dry cone version which burnt more oil than petrol, but I believe I have related that story elsewhere!! :-D
If only we'd known it was 49% alcohol and 49% water it would have been cheaper to buy the ingredients and make our own with a different stenching agent!! :-D

Correct well done Mick. Sinfield did the lyrics for the first number one of 1982 by Bucks Fizz. Mentioned on the 1982 Top of the Pops documentary which I am enjoying right now on BBC2. Early 1980's one of my "eras" and right up my street.

Correct James!

Looky-up James or top of the head? Must admit I could never work out what they were singing other than "The Champions" at the end. Based on Zadok the Priest By GF Handel, and written by Tony Britten. Words in French German And English the official languages of UEFA.

Regards Neil

Yes Mick a few more verses and choruses before the familiar Crescendo at the end.

Google search. I would never have guessed it, as I am not a football fan.
