Ugly and pointless. Seems to be what motor manufacturers are striving for now.

Though VW have been using non-circular wheels for a while now...which I've found endlessly uncomfortable to use every time I've driven one.
Though that pretty much summed up the whole car to me anyway so the shape of the wheel was pretty irrelevant!

We need one of these.

Can I follow up with some marketing BS....from the BMW iX
Bit off-topic first for the thread seeing as its an external feature, but revolutionary nonetheless. BMW appear to have solved the top of the windscreen washer fluid reservoir problem

and as for the quite badly received hexagonal steering wheel BMW offer this...the front BMW logo doubles as a lid for the windscreen washer fluid.
Regards NeilInspired by the world of racing, BMW's first hexagonal steering wheel, with new multifunctional buttons, makes getting in and driving more comfortable.

...Shares some traits at least! Three wheels and non wheel-based steering controls...
Best response I've got on hand.
Though if going based on manufacturer, this shares more DNA.

Re: Interiors and Dashboards (interesting and awful!)
A thought occurs, Zel. When filling in a car insurance quote, one of the questions they normally ask is : 'Is the car standard, is it right hand drive ?' They don't normally have a tick-box for 'centre steer', so what do you tick ?
Sadly no longer a C5 owner

I cheated and used a classic specialist who are used to dealing with nonsense like this who I knew already had an identical car on cover, so they never asked!

...surprise me...anyone like it? I thought not...
Anyway VW's legal bods are up in arms. VW choose to dump the Beetle, then get their underwear in a twist because Great Wall come up with something interesting The Punk Cat, looking like a beetle. and showcase it at the Shanghai Motor Show....
VW have fingers in Chinese pies and make and sell their cars there. Great Wall with their all electric Ora brand, want to bring this from prototype to market by the end of the year, how much of a fuss are VW going to make

I certainly don't like the colour scheme but I quite like the layout/style. If the edges of the seat swabs were mid grey and the metallic pink parts were metallic royal blue I think that might not look too bad!!

Not my style really...but as with the relaunched Fiat 500 from a few years back, at least it looks like *something* rather than just another piece of what may as well be generic office furniture with a different badge slapped on it.NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑22 Apr 2021, 18:29

Lass who worked at our local pub had one, in bright pink. The interior was all white and pink and I thought it worked really well. Not what I'd have chosen, but it was obvious that an actual designer had been involved.
Speaking of Fiat though, the Coupe is one of my favourites because of the big slab of body colour on the dash. Works especially well if it's a black interior and a bright exterior colour (yellow being my preference...).
