Re: A-Z of Cars
Another rare car for my "J" submission. This one could warrant a place on our 'Lights' thread and our 'Weird and unusual shaped cars' thread, if we had one , but that is not a reason not to put it on here, so I give you the Jawa 750 GT:

I have another rare beastie for my "K" car, plenty of mainstream options but I came across this which may find its way onto our electric threads at some point:
The Kama-1 Electric Vehicle

Re: A-Z of Cars
On to "I" after my Hesketh, Innocenti Mini T is what it says on the back doors
Flirted with the Innocenti 1100S Spider https://www.historics.co.uk/media/15811 ... eight=900 basically an Austin Healey Sprite with Italian Clothes but stuck with the Italian Mini.
Just a pause before I get onto a couple of original photos taken this very morning for my "J"
Regards Neil

Re: A-Z of Cars
I had trouble picking my "L" as I have had great experiences of my Lotus' and my Lancias so I decided to revert to one of the sleekest designed cars which together with Lotus and BRM lured me into my lifetime love of motor sport. Plus it gives me a sneaky opportunity to put one of my favourite Kinks tracks on the jukebox:

Re: A-Z of Cars
and so to the J's...
Its a Jaguar, and this model makes it in because I saw it and photographed it today. Slightly unusual in that the windscreen has registration stickers from Conneticut USA and its left hand drive, not a fantastic example bit of patina to the paintwork, but a nice enough low slung shape to me. Not exactly in much demand at the classic auctions most lots sell for relatively low prices.
Clean MOT record since 2010 when I presume it was imported to the UK. Only done 16,000 miles in 10 years, and very little in the last few.
Regards Neil

Re: A-Z of Cars
My "K" is easily dealt with. Page 1 Post 1 of I-Spy Classic Cars provides us with a sunny day in Manchester and the car which kicked off the thread in 2015.

NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑11 Jul 2015, 19:26 As we get out and about there's a few more classic cars on the road at this time of year. "Classics" are very much in the eye of the beholder, well evidenced in the current edition of I-Spy Classic Cars which has 120 selections including Morris Marina, Austin Allegro, Ford Sierra.
Here's my starter for 10 spotted in Manchester, and one of the early whatsthhisthens?
Scores me 25 points as wellfrom I-Spy classic cars
This sporty 2+2 seater car offered as a coupe and a convertible, has striking lines from the Italian design house of Ghia, although the bodies were built in the high quality workshops of Germany's Karmann coachbuilding company. Yet under these fine clothes, the car is pure VW Beetle

Re: A-Z of Cars
After reading your last post but 1 Neil, I started thinking about "m"s. Having given it 10 minutes thought I realised I have already posted my 9 point Morris so I am onto the 'n' s!!

Re: A-Z of Cars
Having reset my thinking to "N"s I remembered a cute car from my early days. Probably the only car that has ever been mistaken for a Hillman Imp this car looks much fruitier in TT format:
The standard car: and the TT All the information on these two is on Wiki here

Umm, it's a bit obvious (and I've probably posted this photo before) but here's my Citroen C5 when we were on holiday in July 2016. The car park is just below the viewing table in Thiers, France.

Onto my "L" selection
Time to correct a major internet worldwide shortage.
There is only one picture on the entire internet of a late 70's Lancia Beta Coupe in Verde Finlandia so I have photographed my photographs of which there appear to be only two!
The interior was just a touch garish, very probably tasteless, but interesting
Luckily Tony Harrison on flickr has preserved a photo of it for future generations to enjoy

Re: A-Z of Cars
Time to slip my unusual "O" in between my NSU and Proton already posted. I have left the mainstream "O"s for others to have a field day with and gone for a very old and rare breed the OSCA, not to be confused with the movie prizes When in Spa for the GP in 2011 I believe, we met a chap driving an OSCA 1600 GT and we were very impressed with it, enough to post it up here to see what others think of it?
Wiki has a reasonable write up on it here

Re: A-Z of Cars
Looks good to me Mick.
For My "M" I would be doing my own motoring history a disservice if I didn't allocate the slot to my first car. Complete lack of photographs of it unfortunately but I do have the Handbook, and its first ever Tax Disc in my ownership.
Paid more in tax on that in 1978 for four months, than I do currently on my Leaf for the full year in 2021

Come on spectators, become players.
This is the world's easiest thread to join in with.
Even if you have no pics yourself Wiki has commons pics of virtually every car there is.
make your own choices and post them up.
I am enjoying going through from A-Z, and as ever Mick is joining in with the spirit too with his A to Z.
Pitch in with a contribution, any letter, you don't have to do the lot, or or at least comment on what others put up.
I'm on to "N" next, and I will be heading for both members of my current fleet later on.
As we say up here "Howay man Its not that difficult".
Regards Neil
