Looks nice, "It is set to hit the UK early next year with a choice of pure-petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains, while prioritising long-distance refinement and ushering in a raft of features and systems new to the brand." no fully Electric and "It uses a hydraulic cushion suspension set-up" with "three suspension settings"

I'm not keen on the exterior but the interior looks very nicely finished.

So disappointing - just another rehash of the 508 and countless other estates. Citroen have lost the plot on this one - again. A matter of having hands tied and constraints no doubt. Get rid of Linda Jackson and use her salary to pay for a decent designer.

Exterior hardly invites a second glance, just another like hundreds of others.
Whatever happened to Citroen's design panache?
And can't they read the writing on the wall about PHEVs?
What a disappointment.

Its good to post such news up Stu and get some comments flowing, even if so far not many have a good thing to say about it. I would like to make a positive comment, I mean when I first got my current car the phrase "baboons backside" was used, but bound to be some who like it and these things are your own personal preference of course.

I acknowledge Stellantis have a difficult job in transitioning to EV's with their disparate number of brands, and products. As you might expect I am more excited about Citroen's light quadricycle the Ami, than this at the other end of the Citroen Brand.

Its going to have to come in some very bright colours to turn my head, and for me might as well have been named the Citroen Irrelevant, or the Citroen Anonymous or maybe Stellantis should have put their name on it and called it the Stellantis Seeifwegetawaywithit , granted not the catchiest of names.

Regards Neil.

I quite like it.
I like the 508SW too.
In 10 years when they get down to about 5 grand I might consider one so perhaps I'm not exactly the target audience Stellantis have in mind.

Well atleast i know my money is safe(ish) in the bank and that is where it will be staying, there was a time when you could look at a car and know who made it, now you need to look at the badge and check companies house :(

Exactly - original design - as you say at one time you could tell immediately who made most cars.

... Now we're talking

The 'designs' of late have merged into a bucket of gloop, characterless and banal.

And here in 2021 the CX still looks absolutely magical :D I expect we'll not be saying that about the latest C5 in 30 years time...

...and it is. I do like a car advertising video in many ways regardless of whether I like the vehicle or not. I like to see if I can identify the locations...looks a bit like Spain to me, and again the more visual and verbal BS it contains the better.

Advertising now for cars rarely if ever mentions the vital statistics of a car, its lifestyle, lifestyle, lifestyle all the way.

Infact the only "words" appearing in the advert, apart from the ubiquitous anonymous "track" playing in the background, the words of which you will not be able to recall (100 points if you can); are these at the end.
Virtually all automakers are trying to get the message across they have changed with some reference to electrification. This at the end of an advert for a petrol car, and a petrol engined hybrid, should possibly have had a petrol nozzle as a qualifier just for balance.
Every car co has to have a tag line
Every car co has to have a tag line
Just as an aside. See for yourself if you can find it out how many miles the new C5X does on electric only.
