No reaction whatsoever, as previously.

I had a Covid antibody test last week and had a negative result.

Our vaccination rollout downunder has been very slow - not helped by overseas suppliers having second thoughts about fulfilling contracts - but my wife and I got Astrazeneca jabs on Tuesday (it's now Thursday morning).

I think it's safe to say that our bodies are mounting immune responses - my wife has aches and pains, while I had a low-grade fever yesterday evening. Also we both experienced significant sleep disruption on the first night after the jab.

Anyway a dose of paracetamol makes it better. Apparently it's little better than a placebo most of the time, but it works for us!

EDIT: Lo and behold, the mother country/old Blighty to the rescue! Thanks guys - we appreciate it.

Hmmm, no reaction, no antibodies - sounds like you've been injected with distilled water. :-D

You might be one of the controls in some gigantic experiment! Look in the bright side - unlikely you'll get blood clots

I had my second COVID vaccination yesterday (Astrazeneca). No obvious side effects, but now when I put on my Bluetooth headphones I am getting interference on the left speaker. I wonder why? :D

Mrs. Michel has had both hers, but Bill Gates still hasn’t sent me the remote operating instructions.

Fifth jab completed. Set off at 11:00, appointment for 11:50 and the vaccination centre was allegedly 16 minutes away and near Gateshead stadium. Opened Google Maps and put the phone in the snazzy new holder.
Phone had gone dark by the end of the road and no verbal information forthcoming. Never mind, I know how to get to the stadium. Except exited the wrong roundabout. No bother, just turn back at the metro station up the road.
turned in to the stadium and no indication of it. Google maps being unhelpful, went to Waze that showed me it was two minutes away. Said turn right onto Hepburn Gardens then went silent, screen has Android logo on it.
Turned right and no sign of it, back to the Metro roundabout to try again.
Tried Waze again but it wasn't letting me in, wanted me to register. Tried Google maps again and got a rough idea where it was.
Found it, only ten minutes late (actually half an hour after sign-in.
Car park rammed, parked up the road a bit.
Went in, signed in with no bother then had to make a rapid exit due to poison gas (perfume).
Once I could breath again, put the activated charcoal mask on for another attempt. Failed miserably and ended up outside choking to death again.
Nurse came out to offer assistance and when I had recovered a bit, took me to a back room away from the rest and all went well. Had to hang around for half an hour, more for being unfit to drive that for the injection possible after effects, although there never are any.
While waiting, a huge commotion outside. Someone had had a dizzy-do and crashed their Range Rover into a taxi, had to be helped from the car park and into a room for treatment and observation.
Three police cars turned up, must be a quiet day for them.

Rubbish photo, couldn't see the screen for the sun.

Oh gosh Steve, what an adventure :( Pleased it all worked out in the end...

Until now, I was unaware there would be a fifth round of jabbings...

I was stabbed at the end of last month (I qualified on two counts; age (I am over 50), and weakened immune system (I am on MTX)).

Is it by invitation do you know James, or do you have to apply via your medical practice? I'm very keen to be jabbed but as said, I was not even aware...

As I'm getting on a bit now I guess I'll soon be eligible based on my long residence on this planet... Or so I hope ;)

James, if you don't mind me asking and being rude - what's MTX? Reply via PM if you would rather ;)

My GP practise got in touch (via text) to let me know.

MTX is short for Methotrexate. One side effect is that it knocks your folic acid levels down, so I have to take a similar dosage 24 hours later to compensate.

SWMBO is on the same treatment regime James, in her case it's to help her cope with her osteoarthritis. Her doseage is on a weekly basis but a fair amount of both I believe!! :)

I have had either text or email invitations, first to the doctors, then to a walk-in centre a mile from me and the last this one a few miles away. The last two were difficult to arrange, most vaccination sites offered were over seventy miles away, lots had very limited numbers of appointments.
Talk to the doctor's Jim as this round has a cut-off date in about four weeks from now.
Some pharmacies offer them too.
