C3 2011 - Battery specifications

Post by kubby »

My car battery needs replacement and I just wanted to know the battery specifications for it.

It's a C3 (A51) 5 DOOR SALOON 1.6 VTi 16v 120 - 2011 model.

I cannot find any information on battery specification under the Owner's manual.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

The Yuasa catalogue lists a 027 battery for this car. If it has stop/start you will need an EFB or AGM version.
On some later PSA cars the battery spec is shown on the bottom of the sticker that has the tyre pressure info.

Your original battery specification is L2D - 640A - 60AH, so as you don't have stop / start a normal battery will do fine as long as it fits and meets these requirements.

You are right, Marc. Mine is not a start/stop one.

How do I read for the spec of the original battery? So 60Ah is the RC and 640A is the CCA?

Sorry I will be replacing the battery for the first time and what to understand the basics. Thanks again :)

640 is the Cold Cranking Amps (performance) and the 60Ah is Ampere Hours

Here's a link to YUASA - there is additional info on the fitting sizes that you can look at:

https://www.yuasa.co.uk/ybx5027.html

Half the price here:

Awesome! Thanks, Marc.

Unfortunately, I am based in Australia. But I will figure out the battery now after your guidance. Thanks again!
