Re: I-Spy Classic Cars-What have you spotted?
Spotted one of these of round about the same vintage same colour.
Stood out in the car park, interesting enough colour picked out on the wheel trims, big chrome-y proper Mercedes grill, and a bit of an 80's back end, big headlamps rectangular surround but round behind the cover, bit of chrome trim. Yes all in all not a bad effort for a Mercedes.
Regards Neil

Looking back to the 105E Estate I saw the other day here is a similar car:
and I can't help wonder why you would buy that when you could have chosen any one of these:
with a pinch of salt of course

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

A couple of recent spots from recent cycling trips...
A gorgeous red Grannie Coupe I believe, via Davie of this parish, was the subject of a full nut and bolt restoration described on Pistonnheads...
A nice baby-blue VW Camper...
And a Yankee 'Ute... I believe a Ford F100
It sounded gorgeous I assume there was a V8 under the hood!

A handsome old Dodge spotted during my bike ride today...
As cool as a cool thing Love it
I'll leave it to the Forum Trivia Investigation Team to fill in all the detail of it... I think the number plate should be just about readable
I was amazed that given the weather, that was the only classic I saw today :surprised:

Re: I-Spy Classic Cars-What have you spotted?
Should be able to answer it here.
I would say it has many of the features of a model called a Dodge Coronet a new model from 1949/50.
Regards Neil
Number plate not totally clear. Looks at first look to me like 129 TUM or 729TUM but no DVLA record of that. The 1/7 could be a blurry 3 but again can't get the right combo of numbers/letters to produce a match.

It's an artefact of how the camera is fitted on the bike It's upside-down on a Garmin mount. When I view video from it I have to flip it overmickthemaverick wrote: ↑17 Apr 2021, 17:57The dateprint on your picture gave it away!!

Two spots on my bike ride today...
A lovely Rover P6 V8
And a Beetle in a horrid and lurid shade of green
Yuk!

Re: I-Spy Classic Cars-What have you spotted?
I'm up to "R" in the A to Z of Cars thread and may well select a Rover P6. Never had one but always liked them.
Its a decent enough thread to follow bit of verbage occasionally from yours truly, but I think both Mick and me are going for the full set and hoping others chip in along the way.

Re: I-Spy Classic Cars-What have you spotted?
Only one classic spot today and all I got was a rear view. I wouldn't say no, but this example in the same colour, went for over £20,000 at Silverstone Auctions on 28th March 2021.
