I think you're all of the same mind, I've had a look in a couple of times but really can't see the point any more and I hate destructive behaviour.

I sometimes watch clips of the old Top Gear, there are some very good parts, but as Gibbo says I don't like loutish/destructive behaviour.

Watched the BBC's tribute to Murray Walker on iPlayer last evening... Excellent stuff :D 56 minutes well spent and enjoyed. What a character he was...

Interesting his dad Graham was also a commentator and for a time they worked together at the IoM TT races...

And quite revealing how his relationship with James Hunt as not always harmonious...

From Top Gear to the Secret Science of Sewage. Watched and enjoyed tonight.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m ... -of-sewage

There was even a bit on running a VW on bio-methane from the sewage works digesters. They didn't forensically interrogate the claims for co2 and particulate emissions from the converted VW beetle. The conversion was basically a couple of tanks in the boot, a different set of injectors and an ecu.

hi all, not sure if this is the right subject area, and apologies if it's already been mentioned.. I have started to watch Tyrells Classic Workshop on you tube recently and one episode feature a Citroen CX.. I think he made one glaring error that even i picked-up on! but otherwise was a good watch.

That suspension sphere looks as though its been 'got at'.

I ran CX diesel estates for 10 years, beautiful cars.

I have just watched the Top Gear tribute to Sabine Schmitz. A wonderful program, and a lot of love for a talented driver who LOVED driving, and probably was one of the very best drivers in the world.

I've just found that watching Gogglebox with the sound turned off is as good as a trip to the zoo. :)

Obviously that was a few years ago but the trailers etc. I've seen since just haven't tempted me back!! :)
I am of the opinion that Chris Evans was handed a poisoned chalice and knew it. Whoever took over from JC, RH and JM was ALWAYS going to be compared to them and would not be accepted as a new crew. Chris Evans (and crew) were used as a fire break. Andrew Flintoff, Paddy McGuiness and Chris Harris are doing a good job, and are not being compared to JC and the others.

Have to say Bangers and Cash is as good as ever. The current episode with the Rover P5 Camper, The Lancia, the Sunbeam Talbot and one of my selections in my A to Z of Cars the Auto Union 1000'S excellent.

I have bid on a 1000 S before, but suffice to say I think the chap from the north-east who bought that one, had considerably deeper pockets than my good self :-D Really nice coloured Mercedes in his garage too :-D

We are going up up Yorkshire in a few weeks so hope to call and see the museum, have been before but it was closed. What I read seems to suggest that they don't have it as a museum anymore but have used the space for stock but you can still look round. They had a lovely Humber Hawk in there which I was hoping to see, had one the first time round.

Enjoy your trip Peter :D Don't forget your passport with a valid visa in it ;) You risk being turned away at the border otherwise...

We both have our double injection passes so hopefully they will accept that Jim  We are hoping to go to Scotland in September - that's another country isn't it?
