Most of those screens are from the retractable units fitted to Peugeot, and I can't really determine which overarching system they are from, so I really need the VIN if you can.

Hi Jon, OK, that unit looks good - there was some changes from build dates, but this is the Hi Res Screen that was also used on the NG4, so that 308 vehicle had the RT6 or fitted.

Wait dont I want the lower resolution version rather than the higher resolution to work with my rneg unit? Remember I'm changing from ng4 to rneg.

Lost the plot - there's a few similar threads I'm dealing with on this - sorry! So that 308 had the Hi Res screen.

Have you considered getting an RT6 fitted as that was a later and much improved unit over the MyWay RNEG? The RT6 also has bluetooth music streaming whereas the RNEG Myway does not (contrary to what is stated in the vehicle manuals). That would be a better option, but if you've already bought the RNEG, then you will probably need the earlier low res screen.

Haha, easily done. Yes theres a few options. Have found a screen from a 2008 308 so hopefully that will be the one I need, just waiting on the vin to check.

Good evening Marc,
Have vin VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
From what I can work out, this is from an RT3 unit so I'm guessing this will be a lower resolution screen. Please tell me I'm right lol.
Cheers

Hi Jon, that was from the RT4 system. That should be fine as the RT4 could work with both screens, but it was the low res screen fitted by default. So fingers crossed.

Hi Marc,
Have bitten the bullet and bought the new screen, once it arrives I will fit it and let you know how I get on. On another note, is the parking sensor ECU wired in differently if it's got the service module do you know? Cheers

No, the Parking ECU is not wired into the Head Unit directly - just the BSI, but the data is sent via the CAN network.

You will need to check that the RNEG is configured for all your vehicle options though using Diagbox.

Thanks Marc, I'll await the arrival of the screen, fit it and see how it goes. All being good I shall make good my temporary wiring and move the mic wires and jobs a goodun. I'll update once I've fitted the screen.
Many thanks

Update on the screen situation. New screen arrived today. Plugged it all in and hey presto al is good again in the 5008. Thank you so much for your assistance Marc. Now the job of making good the wiring and tidying everything up. Just need to get a new sd card for the satnav.
Many thanks

Make sure you get a completely suitable SD card (including the speed). When I fitted a Class 10 (so very fast) card into an old dash cam it would not boot up. Putting a Class 4 (so a lot slower) card into the same dash cam resolved that problem. I am NOT saying you will have a similar issue with your Navidrive, but it is a possibility.

Jon, I've split this topic off separately under the MyWay Forum from the NG4 Forum and given it a new title as it has become removed from the original topic.

Glad to hear the screen is working. Regarding the SD card, go for an 8Gb Class 4 SDHC card as although the standard was a 4Gb card, mapping from 2010 onwards became too big for the card. Don't go for anything too fancy or you'll run into issues. Kingston are ok and are generally widely compatible.
