Car Battery! Have you had it checked? If the car has been unused for a while the electrical systems will cause a drain over time, to the extent that there may not be enough voltage to operate all the systems when you do come to start it. How old is the battery? If over 5 years, then that's about the life of it and it will likely have lost a lot of its original capacity.

So I suggest you get the battery checked and then perform a BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure to reset the ECUs after you have charged it up overnight. This will reinitialise the ECUs and BSI.

Also, make sure the SHUNT park fuse is in the customer position and not the Park position - when peole check the fuses, they often put this one back in the wrong position and this turns off some of the power consuming equipment if the vehicle is going to be parked up for some time. The owner's handbook will show you where the shunt fuse is located - which should be in the passenger compartment glovebox.

It's just I've seen this happen before on a C5 MK II where even though the car was in constant use - one day after work I went to start it and everything went haywire - directional lights, instruments, the lot. Battery was shot even though it had been starting the car fine up until then - then it just died.

Ok, so you really need to get a diagnostic done with Diagbox preferably, in case you have something else going on there - potentially engine fuse box / BSI or communications along the vehicle multiplexed network.

We have a list of Lexia owners who have offered help link and details below:

At the end of the list is a link to a Google Map, showing the members' geographic locations and details. Just use the Private Message or Email links on the member's profile to contact anyone suitable.

Bear in mind, although we update the list as often as we can, not all members are active on the Forum all the time, so it may take a while for a reply - and please remember current lockdown restrictions may make this difficult at present.
