Hi everyone,
I'm new to the Forum as I have a problem with a Citroen Nemo.
The engine will turn over but won't start and the dash warns of 'no fps'.
I've done a bit of research on here and I know it needs proper diagnostics using a Lexia 3, however as I'm new I can't PM anyone who is listed as having one, to see if they could help. I live in St Helens and there is one member listed as having one in my area.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks for any advice.

Re: Citroen Nemo. No FPS warning and no start
Hi, and to the Forum.
You may well need an S1279 module (to connect between a Lexia and van), as some of the PSA (Citroen and Peugeot) vans are Fiat vans with a change of badge (and other cosmetic alterations). If you get hold of that member you might want to ask them if they have that module before arranging to meet up, just in case they don't have it (and if it is needed by your van).

Re: Citroen Nemo. No FPS warning and no start
FPS means the inertia switch has been tripped.
It stands for Fire Protection System & is only on Fiat based models. Have you had a bump or impact?
Cant remember where it is on the Nemo but on the Relay van it’s inside above the NS kick panel.
Check your handbook for the location, it should hopefully just need pressed to reset it.
This may just require one finger rather than diagnostics

To reset it:
With the key in the STOP position, turn the key to the RUNNING position,

Re: Citroen Nemo. No FPS warning and no start
Thanks everyone. The van has had no bumps or kerbings but I’ve tried the reset with no luck. It began to have this an intermittent fault at first then failed completely. It could be so many things but that’s why I’d like it put on the diagnostic.
Re: Citroen Nemo. No FPS warning and no start
Me again, had a recovery service out today, not RaC or AA, who tried a SnapOn diagnostics kit. It wouldn’t connect to the van. Is this to be expected or unusual?
Thanks again for any replies.

Re: Citroen Nemo. No FPS warning and no start
It might be - depends on how up to date the mechanic's systems are. These are essentially Fiat Fiorinos as said, so maybe he would have better luck trying to select that. When using Citroen diagnostics, an additional module is needed to interface with the VCI in order for some ECUs to be read, but I can't say about Snap On.

Re: Citroen Nemo. No FPS warning and no start
Hi, just thought I’d post an update on what this was, to help anyone else in the future.
It turned out to be a low voltage on a pedal sensor. Cleaned up and a relay replaced and it did the trick.
It seems the No FPS warning can cover lots of different problems so give it to a garage that specializes in fault finding. Worth the money.
