Crystal residue on logo

I had my car resprayed a few months ago. After the respray I noticed a hard crystallised type residue on the Citroen logo. I took it for its first car wash since the respray yesterday but it did not come off. Can anyone tell me how to remove this with out damaging the paintwork. The body shop obviously used something to protect the logo before respraying it. They are closed at the moment so I cannot get in touch with them
