On the XM here, most of the return pipes have their 'bubbles' pushed into the rubber connectors, but not all of them, so you could be right - a variable-build thing. Easy to rectify, if spotted.

If there is quality control to spot it.
But imagine, on a T or Y-piece how easy would be to block some of the returns with the other two pushed too much inside.
On my rear height corrector it is mounted only to the bubble, and there are no signs of it ever to have popped or leaked out.
Sore for the slight off-topic

Hey everyone ive come to the conclusion that the best way to solve it is to just disconnect the pipes to the doseur, iv been trying to look on the internet but how do you find upt what size of hydraulic pipe seals do you need for the doseur. Thanks Scott

3.5mm ones Scott...Scottculli wrote: ↑26 Feb 2021, 13:51what size of hydraulic pipe seals do you need for the doseur. Thanks Scott
Generally, you can re-use the old ones with care... They are likely to remain in the body of the dosuer when you pull the pipes out... They can be teased out and if undamaged are good for reuse... I used to turn them upside down to expose a new sealing face...
