Thanks Neil, I'll have a look at those tomorrow when I have my laptop. I've been banished to the bedroom this evening (my choice) while SWMBO watches a mushy movie!! :-D

In one of his brochure talk throughs he did mention how the Jaguar XJS was perhaps unfairly compared to the E-type Jaguar and suffered because of it, but now was getting better with age in his opinion. Similarly the TR7 never lived up to the previous incarnations of the TR Sports Cars. It was so radically different in design, but again maybe more appreciated now than in its early days. Same designer as the Princess.

Now the perspective on this may be all wrong, a product of Twin Cam's poor camera and lighting work, but this looks good to me, it looks lower and longer, and better for it :-D

The TR7 was dogged by several instances of catching fire, a bit like the Vauxhall Zafira, that didn't help its reputation or its sales.

The square push switches in your dash photo, I have a few of those sitting in my 'glory box' , salvaged from something I broke up in the past, can't think what.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

I guess this is a clue, but no top of the head answers from me so I'll have a bit of a dig.

The one I came across had orange numbers like this hence the "of some vintage" bit, but maybe that's just because it was lit up.

I found this site which has the basic story behind the BX and its development of the 4TC :)
