Reply number 300: Once the ice has reached this sort of thickness it takes a bit of shifting, still providing entertainment for the ice-hockey youngsters today.

Still nothing to speak of here yet, its extremely cold though, I've got the radiators on and the fire alight.

This is the best I can do, my first PA Vauxhall in Petts Wood - a few years ago.

Well it's sunny skies and 90° degrees here, (that's minus 90° :-D ), but no snow in sight.

All gone here... The Beast from the East here in Paggers ended up a being a bit of a sissy...

I ran a fast 10K this morning with no risk of ice and almost went for a real bike ride but it was just a touch too cold for that despite the wall-to-wall sunshine...

If you've had snow poke your camera out the window, or take it on your exercise.

Surely every chance of a flurry of photos on snow good today :-D

Not much here. Been trying to get a photo of three lads sledging (OOWP) but they are too quick for me.

I did have a walk to see how the flood defences were coping after all the rain but everywhere was knee deep in mud so couldn't approach close enough.

Yes its very pretty, and very beautiful under blue skies, and the air is fresh and cold but a couple of days of unfreezing water pipes and condensing boiler condensate pipes, and a crank no start on the stood for a while Micra it can happily disappear for a while for me.

Up in the serious wilds of Northumberland things are still a little more difficult. An amazing nightime rescue job done by all concerned (2 Mountain rescue teams paramedics etc, to reach on foot what all the 4x4s couldn't get nearer then 1.5 miles away by road, prepare a helicopter landing area, mobilise a helicopter rescue from a base in Scotland, and carry out the airlift to hospital with great skill from the pilot and all others concerned in difficult and dangerous conditions.

Looks much more placid and picturesque in the light of day and one advantage of the snow, you can drive over the gate rather than bother opening it :-D

We had about three flakes this morning, supposed to be getting some more at 4.00pm, probably be another three flakes.
