607 automatic headlight adjustment fault

Post by GoceKU »

I've been getting this annoying message everytime i start the 607 about automatic headlight adjustment. I've pull the codes and tried everything i could think off. The sensor is working i've used an multimeter and between pins is changes ohms when i move the arm, check every cable i could see. With peugeot planet i can see it is not registering the front end height sensor. Do you have any advice or know how i can find diagram of a semantic, i took it to the peugeot dealership, they pull the codes and said No we are not working on it.

You simply may just need the front height sensor replacing.

These can wear over time as the tracks on the potentiometers wear. They are just analogue sensors. From PP2000 you can see what the reference values are (initialisation values) with the actual readings, where the front one is missing.

So it would seem the front one appears not to be sending any data.

I've not mention, it stopped working after i had the engine out and in of the car, for a rebuild by me. I don't cut any wires and the sensor itself i've tested with a multimeter and is working.

Well its likely that its either been disturbed or the wiring or connectors have been or the ECU it connects to. Its always soemthing like this that causes these sorts of things to happen. Unfortunately there’s not a lot I can do, but if you pop your VIN up (auto masked) I’ll get the circuit diagram up for you so you can at least check that out.

Fortunately this shouldn't be a big issue. Just the matter of finding the sensor to replace this one. After that you certainly you have to reprogram it knowing the French technology and hope it's accepted. Let us know when you will get it done :)
