Saxo immobilizer

Post by Jonathancilia »

Hi, my saxo 1.5D is flashing the immobilizer on an occasion, when im driving only so far its done it, car keeps driving normally doesnt cut out. It does it rarely maybe once a month or so. Does this mean the immobilizer on the pump is going or maybe the arieal around the ignition lock needs replacing ?

Can you confirm you mean the immobiliser light comes on when the engine is already running ?
Does it come on as normal for a second or two when you switch the ignition on the goes straight back off?

Most likely the aerial around the ignition barrel starting to fail. It will eventually give up completely.

So long as it is the same it will work. All it is is the aerial to allow the immobiliser system to 'talk' to the chip in the key.
