As I have now found out Vwfsfleet offer car and van leasing from a range of brands outside the VW group so not unusual to find their moniker on that new Jaguar I-pace's reg plate as it turns out. I saw the Citroen logo on their list too!

..and I dont know why but I read this article too. I couldn't be more uninterested in the product they plan to make, but was curious as to what the money bags of Ineos were planning for their investment in a factory in Wales.
Strangely enough I do enjoy a dollop of marketing BS and this particular line reported in the article caught my eye....
"Number one focus was off-road mobility and capability. An off-road vehicle that doesn’t keep on going and providing years of faithful service isn’t really doing the job. It’s got to get you out into the bush and back again."
Shepherd's Bush :?: , the "old bull and bush" :?:

Maybe I just havent got a clue about the market for these things. You dont want a modern vehicle straying too far away from fully equiped diagnostic workshop and a ready supply of replacement sensors and ecu's particularly if you are subjecting them to the rigours of "the bush".

The cars which seem most popular for buying round here at the moment are Suzuki's. Purely anecdotal but you do see quite a lot around.

Our local Citroen dealer of many years has added Suzuki to his range and the Suzuki signs and streamers are shading out the Citroen stuff, I wonder if he's about to dump Citroen.

We bought SWMBO a Celerio last year when it had only 1200 miles on the clock and all the goodies she wanted. It is a great little car :) :) so I am not surprised that Suzuki seem to be on the Up!! Oh no that was VW wasn't it? :-D

Well have a listen to what PSA have in mind for electrification of their vans.....quite very encouraging. The Electric Vivaro is being built in Luton, and appears to be the only van currently being made in the UK. Er no its not.......Made in France only the new ICE Vivaro is made in Luton.

What's the most important consideration for the global car industry?

As far as General Motors are concerned, turning their rather large tanker around, changing their logo for only the 5th time in their considerable history, and jumping on the EV bandwagon...

If you don't follow the electric vehicle threads on here with a fine tooth comb, you will never have heard of NIO. The Shanghai company’s market capitalization now stands at $104 billion, bigger than the combined value of traditional automakers General Motors Co. and Ford Motor Co.

You will most likely never have heard of William Li Bin the CEO of NIO,

Nio at Record High After Unveiling New Sedan, Battery Pack

They aren't playing in the car for the masses market, but very much in the well-heeled end of the market and are quite happy to tread on TESLA's toes.

Elon Musk Invited To Build A Tesla Factory At Soon-To-Be-Vacant Honda Site

Yes please! You get nothing if you don't ask!

If Honda had got their act together, made their cute little EV a bit cheaper, they could have sold them hand over fist in the UK market and built them here.

The next Delorean scandal starts here?

Sorry to be negative, but its hard to work out if Musk is a reliable business partner or not.

Undoubtedly the biggest mover and shaker in Automotive world right now, and way ahead of the traditional automakers, and not short of investors backing the vision and delivery. Yes and a completely different scale and track record compared to De Lorean. Many people (ie the short-sellers) bet on TESLA to fail, and lost big money. May happen yet but my view is that TESLA is on the up, and traditional automakers are complacently attempting to play too slow catch-up or are on the way down.

I've given the worlds now 4th biggest car maker a thread of its own. PSA has merged with Fiat Chrysler under the umbrella of a new company. I presume the French State will still retain some shares to facilitate the odd meddle where it suits.

Delorean gets mentioned on the FCF, and appears on a 99 minute BBC2 Documentary last night
