What a great find that is Neil well done!! I don't remember ever hearing of that at all so thoroughly enjoyed it!! Mind you they could have given him a car with 4 hub caps!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I was sent it Mick so cant take the credit for the find. No room for any passengers if you had to cover the entire country. When he mentioned Self-drive Cars from the airport I though crikey thats prophetic, but I think he was meaning the likes of Hertz and Godfrey Davis.

Clicked on that wondering if they would mention Walter/Wendy Carloss who did great things with the early Moogs.
Nothing happened of course.

The pictures aren't clickable links. They are from I-player not one of the "embedable" vids from daily motion/youtube/vimeo. etc

Bit of a loud rendition of greensleeves doesn't really show the embrionic moog off to its best!

So I discovered - I did watch using the link above the image.

There isn't much of hers on YT. I have her first two LPs - she was Walter Carlos when they were recorded.

Somewhere I have a tape of "Sonic Seasonings" by Wendy Carlos. May have to drag the tape deck and tapes out.

I have Switched-on Bach, The Well-Tempered Synthesizer, By Request, and Clockwork Orange here on LP, as well as her CD box-set, plus other bits. Magic stuff: Brandenburg 3 is a tremendous performance by any standards!

I think that computers and the software that's written for them are going to be the greatest thing for musicians since the invention of catgut itself

It did look like it but unfortunately the reality hasn't proved to be quite so in reality.
I lean more toward musicians that don't rely on synthetic sounds.
