A choice of DS

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Number 1 1975 Citroen DS23 Pallas
Current V5 present. This was imported from South Africa and all duties paid. I have applied for the NOVA. Sadly, no service history. 1975 Citroen DS23 Pallas in original condition. 2.3L carb engine with a manual 5 speed column change transmission. The car has been resprayed in its original colour combination, Red / White. All the chrome is in good condition for a car of its age. Fitted with Tan Leather upholstery which has no cuts or rips.
Damned by faint praise in the commentary :-D "Doesn't seem to run too bad" Is that what they are supposed to sound like?

Number 2 1974 Citroen DS23 Pallas
Current V5 present, declared manufactured in 1974 and first registered in the UK in 2016.
Paperwork includes a Purchase Invoice from Germany and a promo magazine, import documents also included.
The vendor has provided the following:
It is a semi automatic model and has rare fog lights

Yes, Number 2's engine sounded a little less agricultural. Have to say not a great "selling" script in either of the videos. :-D

It is interesting to say that ACA have been doing videos for a while and still don't include a commentary which I suspect saves a lot of hassle with misquotes or misinformation etc. It is fairly new for Mathewsons and I think it's an area which needs more effort to make it a slick sales video, but that just isn't Derek's way!! :-D

A lot of those amateur videos need a proper steady cameraman, the dashing about all over the screen can make you seasick. :)
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.
