Eolys 176 or infineum F7995

Post by Hansen »

Hello

My car showed a warning, that the eolys lewel is too low. However, the warning has disappeared again and has not appeared for the last 14 days. But that probably means anyway that I must have refilled the eolys tank.
I have read a lot about the topic in this forum, but still have a clarifying question that I hope you can answer.
My build number is 12617, which indicates Powerflex, but the click fit connector is green. I assume that I therefore have an infineum F7995 system. Infineum apparently replaces eolys 176, but can I top up eolys 176 when the car is born with infineum system? The two should be possible to mix.
The reason for the question, is that I have already previously bought the Eolys 176, which I did not need for a previous car anyway. It would be nice if i could just use that now :)

My car: Citroen C5 2,0 hdi 163hp - 2011
VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Best Regards

If you have the GREEN Click-Fit connector then it is Infineum F7995, as although your build date 12617 (26/05/2011) which would suggest Powerflex, they may have been using up the older additive tanks / pumps from stock.

So stick to Infineum F7995 or Eolys 176 if you have a green connector, as these two additives can be interchanged.

For a C5 (X7) with an RP number of 12617 (and a green connector) I make it Eolys EXTEND. I believe Infinium F7995 has been superseded by Eolys Extend.
Eolys Extend can be mixed with Infinium F7995 without draining it first.

Eolys 176 and Infinium F7990 can only be mixed up to RP number 12075.
