Hi, I had an engine fault come up on my dashboard. its been connected to a computer and it says there is a fault with the camshaft sensor. The mechanic has removed the fault alert on the dash. He says if it comes back on to call him but the car is ok to drive. For peace of mind I would prefer to get it changed and was wondering if I could do it myself. I've googled location but it never comes up with the same engine as mine.
Could anyone tell me where the camshaft sensor is please?

I dont think the 1.6 8v or 16v petrol engine has a camshaft sensor that i can remember. Was it definitely the camshaft sensor & not the crankshaft sensor?
