Well lets see what captured my interest enough to take a picture this morning....

a heron, an unimaginative drinking session, and a Swedish/Swiss International firm with its logo on a lot of things

Photography a bit duff but it was the bottle of Lambrusco which caught my nostalgic eye.

With a less than an avalanche of new entries on POTD today (ie only one and not a single observation like or comment, participation has been snail-like today) I have done my random selection of previous postings and it came up with page 96 from 2017. Got to try to keep the entertainment flowing, it is January after all.

Was very impressed today by Kathy Clugston's appearance on Jeremy Vine, and with today being the 150th anniversary of the first shipping forecast, for poseterity here's Kathy in her lovely soft Northern Irish accent presenting the Shipping Forecast.

There are quite a number of people who use the Shipping Forecast for its soporific effect...relaxing and soothing including the theme "Sailing By" written by Ronald Binge (excellent name!)

I must own up to a lack of participation on POTD today which was mainly due to getting involved on 3 other threads as well as preparing some household chores Interestingly I did see the triple picture post and would have liked the heron but the litter picture put me off!! I cannot see much in the way of original pics for the next few weeks as i have no genuine reason to go out!'

The litter was just tossed in a stream and consisted of I would say at least 100 beer cans and bottles. Accumulated from wild camping/underage drinking from earlier in the year no doubt. Took the heron from the same spot.

Have to say I would never be able to just toss stuff away like that, my DNA doesn't allow it.
