i appreciate those thoughts chaps although as I lost her 41 years ago, I am fully comfortable with it now. I do agree James, but to be honest it really does make you stronger, when you realise nothing will ever hurt more than you have already come through!! Unlike Steve I find that listening to her favourite music brings back her smile to me and that always cheers me up!! In one way she may be better off than us at the moment!!

Mick has started a thread Tales of The Unexpected
Maybe an unexpected angle to this particular tale....has an Ian Fleming Connection....
Purely coincidental that Susan George is in it....

Re: On TV...
I watched all that series first time round, worth a second look. Unusual to see Brian without him bawling.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Re: On TV...
I quite enjoy watching salvage hunters in it's various guises but the new series of s/h classic cars started on wednesday (06/01/21) and it kicked off with a DS including a visit to a specialist (whom i've been informed also does cx's) and also featured a lotus (seven i think)
Music keeps me going.

Re: On TV...
Watching Mastermind at the moment and honestly think the questions have been unfairly long for one contestant, any comment?

Re: On TV...
been through the quizfest tonight Mastermind/Only Connect/University Challenge.
Didn't notice the long question phenonemon, but do notice with MM that unlike with UC where you can jump in with the answer before the question is finished Humphries does make sure the full question is read probably down to fairness in questions read out in the time available.
Question setting on UC often appears to introduce a bit of bias. Get an American on the team, and there will be starters and bonuses on America. Cambridge college tonight answering questions on Cambridge university philosophers...yuk... where on earth did they dig up that line of questions from?
Regards Neil

Re: On TV...
I didn't see UC but I thought the girl on Mastermind had much longer questions than the first chap. They both only got 1 wrong and he ended up with three more points!! I thought they were allowed to interrupt?

Re: On TV...
I have been enjoying the recent focus on Cornwall in a couple of programmes. For me unusually a programme where Rick Stein doesn't grate too much Rick Stein's Cornwall and the other one Cornwall:This fishing life both on BBC2. As it turns out both on tonight one after the other with the fishing programme on right now.
Stein tonight visited a this "plough to bottle" Vodka Distillery
Regards Neil
