Rubber mats

Hi all
I was watching a YouTube video a few weeks ago reviewing the C5 x7 and the car had some rubber fitted mats that were like a tray in design.
Has anyone seen any of these mats available?

There are 2 types of mats for the X7 Steve - carpeted mats that clip into the floor studs and rubber mats.

I'll be able to get part numbers and current prices shortly - their systems are offline for database updates at the time of posting.

These are Citroen left hand drive and look like they are for the aircross but the video shows a similar type fitted to the C5 x7

Ok, so Citroen produced different accessories for different countries.

That part number is not coming up for the UK, and the link you have is for the Left Hand Drive C5 X7 Steve, so they probably didn't do that type for the Right hand drive.

I've also checked directly with Citroen and they only offer the 2 types of mats listed in my last post for the Right Hand Drive UK market.

They may have produced the deep tray type mats for countries with a lot of snow where it gets compacted in your shoes / boots and then melts into the car floor well.....

Obviously for the boot they do produce a 'lipped' mat to protect from spills. I found out how useful these were after having 3 litres of Halfords ( ) screen wash leak out into the boot of my saloon which got into the parking assistance ECU...... Won't be without one now.

The C5 Aircross ones are a completely different fit I think you'll find, but you might be able to use these for a comparison.

Here's some images of the C5 Aircross pattern / LHD and RHD below.

They key thing here is that the accelerator pedal floor plate must never be obstructed as it's used for the kick-down and emergency override for the speed limiter.

But if they're for the Aircross then even if a RHD set exist then it won't fit the "proper" C5. Of any vintage.

To my mind the Aircross should never have been called a C5.

Yes agree - the 'C5' Aircross has got nothing in common at all with the C5s that came before. They should of called it something completely different.

Totally agree - and I find Citroen Aircross and DS Crossback gets confusing.

On a vaguely related question, was the C4 Aircross ever imported to the UK ? A clone of the Mitsubishi ASX, I think. I went to a friends house the other day and saw a Citroen I didn’t quite recognise - turned out to be C4 Aircross that I knew Citroen were considering for uk but I didn’t think it ever came here ? Maybe this one was LHD or an import from some other RHD country ?.

Finally, the ‘lipped’ mats were, I think, first introduced on the original Berlingo van - brilliant idea for a van.

Citroen had the C-Crosser and Peugeot had the 4007 which are both built by Mitsubishi (initially in Japan) and based on the Outlander.

The C4 Aircross wasn't sold in the UK / Ireland and was again based on a Mitsubishi ASX. Plagued by recalls it was dumped and deemed a failure and the later C5 Aircross ensued.
