Looking further through the list I actually came upon a C5 - tempting here.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Well ahead of its time Mick.

I had an A50 van - back in the day.

Must have been a pretty rare car that Jim, I thought it was a A50 but its an A40. They made the A40 Somerset until '55 and the A55 started in '57 shortly followed by the Farina. The A40 Cambridge had the 1200 cc engine and the A55 the 1500, they couldn't have made it for much more that a year.

Not when there's an A55 on offer 😉

As a saloon car, yes but didn't it live on for some considerable time as a pick-up?

A bit like the Vauxhall HA Viva van outlived the HA car by more than a decade...

I don't ever recall the A55 being offered as a van...

  Missed that first time round as I was looking at the forum on my 'phone... It's a bit like looking down a telescope the wrong way... The forum works much better on a laptop I find...

I'd like to test a near-relative of that sort of C5, a recumbent ;)

still running the 405 I paid £500 for back in 2011 as my only car

and recently celebrated a 'personal' 100,000miles in the old girl, still enjoy driving it!

(total mileage on the car now 282,000)

Biggest ever bill was £400 and we don't talk about that one, coz it was the last time it ever had a Garage lay a spanner on it (about 5 years ago, I later fixed it myself for less than £20). There have only ever been 3 bills into three figures

Good car the 405, very little in the way of electronics. I can't afford garages, if I get to the stage I can't repair mine any move I will have to get a Morris minor or something.

If you can't afford garages Peter I doubt you can afford a Moggy now. :)
