Hi!
Total newbie question... I bought an -04 Xsara Picasso and wanted to change the original vdo rd3-01 radio to a some basic Pioneer radio. I had some adapters and managed to get the new radio installed and running. There was just this one wiring (C2 or something – that is related to some remote control I guess) that had no place to go. Control on the wheel works fine though.
But after the change I lost some information from the control panel – like fuel consumption and such. I'm assuming that the lost info comes from BSI and goes (or went) somehow through the (original) radio to control panel?
Is there any possibility to get this information displayed with this new radio setup?

No, as the Head Units are also used to interface with the display to show certain info and configure certain options on the car for some models. You’ll have to do without it if you replace it with most aftermarket units.

yes
do a bsi reset
ensure all doors are closed
wait 3 minutes
disconnect battery
wait 3 minutes
reconnect battery
wait 30 seconds
turn on side lights
turn on ignition and your information should be back

Thank's a ton @maxxo!
Resetting the BSI did the trick.

You've probably got the older RD2 /3 system then not the later ones - glad you have sorted it.
