Re: Picture(s) of the day....
We had a 440kv transformer delivered to the substation in Hawkchurch in the '70's, a couple of miles from here. They had to strengthen the bridge in Charmouth and widen various places. The tyre marks on the corner of the Crewkerne road and the Hawkchurch road were there for a number of years until the road was resurfaced.
The A35 still went through the Charmouth tunnel at the time, didn't build the by pass until later. I think my son has some pictures, I will try and get one or two.
Peter

From the archives......My Citroen H van Calendar 2016 assembled from pics on the I spy Citroen H Vans thread
We do one every year of the dog and days out...nice tradition each month to turn over to the next page of the "Ruby" calendar and try to remember where it was taken So easy to do, and when the offers are on such good value for money.

I did catch this little murmuration with my own point and shoot camera back in March this year.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I missed another century passing by with the workload on the Advent Calendar so to mark the passing here is a rather unique motor:

I'm glad about that, it certainly was a hell of a motor in its time in 1929!!

Not a weighty enough matter for a call out of the full Trivia Investigation Team but I'll certainly be seeing what I can deduce from this.

I shall be interested to see what the Trivia Investigation Team (I deliberately did not use their acronym ) comes up with on that lamp housing
