So that leaves me with this thing, which I am still wrestling with. Plenty enough there to get it, If walking the dog doesnt bring it to mind I might have to forego the points and get a hint. I keep coming back to my guess as being the closest I can come up with so far.

Getting old fashioned for mid 1950's, doors still hinged at the rear.

Well I'm finishing up with 15 points less than the maximum....can't find that dinosaur. It has the look of my guess, and the handles and hinges in the right place. I can reveal this because it isnt the right answer. It isn't a Wolseley 6/80, and it isn't an Austin Six MS...right sort of bulbous acoutriments and a back end that slopes like a Morris Minor.
Handles and door wrong.

So in the absence of a clue I am declaring short of the holy grail of 300!
