No Neil I can't say I have, oddly enough north Northants/south Leicestershire just isn't an area I go to, through occasionally yes but not to!! I've been up the east of them to Rutland and west of them to Warwick but Leicester itself has never attracted me for pleasure. Visited for work by train many moons ago but that's as close as I have been to Geddington!! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Odd that the drawing does not have any sign of the church! Could there be another bridge in Geddington I wondered....:
Own work
Own work
Now the other photos on Geograph taken in 2009 show the bridge is now closed to traffic but I can feel an FCF excursion coming on :-D
When the lockdown is over I may have a drive up and get a French car with Eleanor Cross picture in Geddington and perhaps a new thread for a quest for the 12 Eleanor Cross sites with French cars in picture? :)

Didnt know what an Eleanor Cross was Mick but looked it up on Wiki

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleanor_cross

Not many of 12 originals remain intact.

I think the drawing is indeed of the bridge with the ford looking towards the Eleanor Cross with the three roof window house prominently featuring. Sort of this scene here. Yes the Church should be to the right of the prominent house. but the rest of the scene mimics todays view well enough for me.

Indeed there not many left, 3 I think from memory. I first learnt about them on a xchool visit to St Albanx Abbey in the early 60s, where there was a commemorative placque, and have come across them from time to time. It would be an interesting trip to try and track down all the sites and get a dozen pics of the C5 on tour!! , :-D

I did ponder the other day whether the electric revolution really was gaining momentum, when the first 2 stories on Autocar's news page were about electric vehicles.

Well it does appear Autocar is moving with the times, it has partnered with a well known car manufacturer to launch "Autocar Electric".

So the Pickled Egg Quiz poses the question
Which company has Autocar joined forces with to launch Autocar Electric – bringing you the latest EV news and analysis, in-depth reviews and lots of help and advice to start you on your electric journey. :?:

I have spent a fair while trying to find anything about this to the point of now being bored with it so I'm out!! Closest I found was:

https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/tech ... l-home-evs

No mention of their collaborator in there tho!! :(

Yes I suppose this was more the news than their collaborator, Autocar finally acknowledges the changing motoring world. Maybe they are keeping quiet about their collaborator now just in case the reading public think it biases their independent content and reviews, or maybe the collaboration has been terminated, or it was just for one article.

See the bottom of this page....Autocar's own words
https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/adve ... udi-e-tron
We’ve joined forces with Audi to launch Autocar Electric – bringing you the latest EV news and analysis, in-depth reviews and lots of help and advice to start you on your electric journey. Click here to discover more.
If there is anything misleading about those comments, Autocar chose them themselves. The collaboration may go no further than the first article written for "Autocar Electric" as a promotional contribution for Audi, described on Autocar Electric as "Promoted. The Story behind the Audi E-tron".

Might have filled the coffers a little bit to get a few more journalists working on electric stories/test drives/ the odd free motor to try out longer term, fair enough its a business, and many car makers as well as Audi will want to get in on the game.

If the area is Sussex could be Lucy Sussex for her name alone, or

Naomi Foyle who resides in Brighton with links to Chichester

Might as well get another couple ruled out!
